Welcome to Detroit from the Bob-Lo Steamers web site and Mr. Lee

I received this e-mail recently and thought I would share it with you, take a listen to the song Captain Bob-Lo, written and performed by Jay Ross the author of this e-mail.

Hello, I found your Bob-Lo web site though my high school's web site.
Bob-Lo Island meant a lot to us back then, a great place to visit. I was about 19 years old (1971) when I last visited Bob-Lo with a church group. I remember seeing Little old Captain Bob-Lo standing there, ringing his bell, saying, Bobalo, Bobalo...
I felt kind of sorry for him, it seemed to me that no one paid any attention to him at all. When I got home, I wrote a poem about him, and Bob-Lo. Many years later (1995) I being a musician, put the poem into a song, and recorded it in my home studio. I am not a great singer, or musician, but I played all the instruments and performed all of the vocals myself, and I was able to put my Bob-Lo experience into the song.
I have attached it so you can hear it. if you think it worthy, I would be honored to have it posted into your web site.
I ask nothing but my name to be listed as the writer, let me know what you think, thanks for hosting such a great site.
Captain Bob-Lo retired on March 9, 1974, at 91 years old.
